Pulmonary Medicine Consultants of North Texas is a group of board-certified physicians established in 1984. We are dedicated to the provision of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine to the greater North Dallas area with offices in Richardson and McKinney. It is our mission to provide the highest level of compassionate pulmonary care to our patients and to collaborate with our referring physicians in the provision of comprehensive health care.
Our doctors are fellowship-trained and provide state-of-the-art intensive care unit and pulmonary services at Methodist Richardson Medical Center and HCA Medical City of McKinney. Our physicians have been recognized by D Magazine and Top Doctors as among the best physicians in Dallas and Collin Counties.






Dr. Foster is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care medicine. He is a Dallas native. He earned his undergraduate degree at TCU and his M.D. degree at University of Texas Houston. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He completed his fellowship training at the University of Texas Southwestern where he was named Chief Fellow. He is a father of three, loves sports and helps us all relax with his sense of humor.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Ian Henderson as a new member of Pulmonary Medicine Consultants. He recently joined our practice after relocating from New York City. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland before moving to Philadelphia where he received his M.D. degree from Temple University School. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York University School of Medicine followed by a chief residency year where he served on faculty. His fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine was also completed at New York University School of Medicine. Sorry Cowboys fans, he remains loyal to the Eagles, but we won’t hold that against him. He and his wife, Joanna, are expecting their first child in September 2021.

Dr. Mir is Board Certified in Internal medicine, Pulmonary disease, Critical Care medicine and Sleep Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Medicine at the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Ohio. She did her fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has a special interest and expertise in Sleep Medicine and works part time with us in our Richardson office.

Dr. Aritra Sen is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He joined Pulmonary Medicine Consultants in 2022-returning home to DFW after spending years training in the Texas Medical Center and the Northeast. He graduated summa cum laude from UT Dallas and subsequently received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School/UT Houston Health Science Center, where he also completed his Internal Medicine and Chief residency in Quality Improvement/Patient Safety. He proceeded to finish his pulmonary/critical care fellowship at Tufts Medical Center with additional fellowship in Advanced Diagnostic Bronchoscopy at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Coordinator of Critical Care NP/PA Program – Melissa is an Advanced Nurse Practioner. She organizes our nurses and physician’s assistants to help up provide 24/7 care in ICU and MRMC and MCM. She is the coordinator of our physician extender ICU program, helping PMC to provide 24/7 critical care services.
